The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently going to the Fernie 2 Group Hall in Mpuluzi to render solutions for the community.
SASSA will be rendering companies including new social grant applications, change of payment method, client treatment enquiries, together with the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.
In an announcement, the agency reported it can be alarmed with regard to the substantial number of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The purpose in the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to your higher variety of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.
“This really is due to lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no totally functional office focused on service the area daily. The company point developed for intervention encounters a large influx of prospective beneficiaries, which makes it tough for your office to attend to all people who visit a service point.
“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise more means to help the servicing of all prospects SRD and raise entry to Social Assistance companies,” the agency said.
